I enjoyed most of Patricia Wentworth’s books, This one however was ridiculous. It’s hard to believe that so many five star ratings were given to it. It might have made a cute children’s book but I can’t see how any adult would enjoy it. It is one of the few books that I wasn’t able to finish.Product details

I did not enjoy Golden Age mystery fictions.
Wentworth as always has a great combination of suspense and romance.
It wasn’t quite what I was expecting...I enjoy Patricia Wentworth mysteries . Especially Miss Silver mysteries . But what the hey. One can always enjoy a book that branches out in unexpected ways.
Patricia Wentworth writes excellent stories that keep you enthralled.
It was a good story. I liked that she used a Scottish legend.
I enjoyed this old fashioned mystery, set mostly in Scotland, and featuring a possible sea monster, a spunky heroine and enough romance to make it interesting
Loch Ness Monster really creepy ending, this book came out just as the loch ness monster photo was published, the description of the sea monster at the end was chilling, the rest of the story has local lingo and it very hard to interpret but the story lines pretty good.
